Wyoming GOP Moves To First In Nation On January 5

Wyoming has moved ahead of Iowa and New Hampshire and changed their GOP caucus to January 5, 2008.

Wyoming Republicans have jumped to the head of the pack in the US presidential nominating process, moving their caucus to January 5, ahead of even the traditional early-voting states of Iowa and New Hampshire.

While the move puts Wyoming first in the accelerated primary process for the 2008 election, it is not expected to stay there as states continue to jockey for position. Candidates who win early states have more momentum, giving those early states more influence nationwide.

Is this is full GOP primary, or just part of it? I thought their original plan was to hold an early primary for distribution of half the delegates in January and the remaining half was to be chosen at a later primary. Either way, this is fun. Why shold Iowa and New Hampshire be first.

They should go first because Gov. Dean's chairmanship is hanging by a thread, and the more of a disaster this calendar becomes, the less of a chance he has to survive.  If you aren't a Deaniac, how about because the calendar has been set for over a year now, and the candidates have all set their plans and strategies into motion based on that?
